Frequently Asked Questions

How will therapy help me? +
Therapy provides expert guidance to help you identify the root of what you're struggling with and develop strategies to address it. It can help you change behaviors that contribute to challenges, find constructive ways to manage situations beyond your control, and develop greater emotional awareness and resilience — all in a safe, nonjudgmental space.
Will therapy work for me? +
Research shows that therapy is effective for most people. Many individuals experience a sense of relief early in the process. While everyone's journey is different, therapy works best when you approach it with openness and a willingness to actively participate in your own healing.
How long are therapy sessions? +
Individual therapy sessions are typically 50–55 minutes. Couples sessions or initial assessments may run longer depending on your needs and the treatment approach.
How confidential are the sessions? +
Information shared in therapy is kept confidential. There are limited exceptions required by law, such as situations involving harm to yourself or others. I'll explain these exceptions during your first session to ensure complete transparency.
I tried therapy before and it didn't work. Why try again? +
The connection between you and your therapist is the most important factor in a successful outcome. If therapy didn't work before, it may have been a mismatch in approach, style, or chemistry. Finding the right fit can make all the difference — don't let a past experience discourage you from getting the support you deserve.
How do I get the most out of therapy? +
Be open to the process and willing to engage in your own healing. Be honest about your feelings, share your thoughts openly, and trust that progress is a journey. With commitment and the right therapeutic relationship, meaningful change is absolutely possible.

Still have questions? That's completely normal. The free 15-minute consultation exists exactly for this — a chance to ask anything you need to feel comfortable before committing.
